THE LUXURIOUS AUVERGNE
Volvic Natural Spring Water comes from one of the biggest and oldest preserved ecosystems in Europe: the Volcanoes Regional Natural Park of Auvergne. If you visit the Auvergne, you will find an exuberant, historical region, dedicated to nature and outdoor activities. The magnificent landscape is popular with para and hang-gliders, while outdoors enthusiasts will enjoy the abundance of discovery trails and rivers for hiking, biking, rafting and canoeing. At the base of the Puy de la Nugère, Volvic water is created by rainwater that slowly seeps underground through porous layers of puzzolana and fissured lava down to the impermeable granite bed on the old valley bottom. During this underground filtration process, Volvic water is filtered and in contact with the rocks and minerals it impregnates. Through this process Volvic acquires its unique mineral composition. When it reaches the impervious bedrock, the water slowly flows downstream where it is captured over 90 meters deep.
Volvic water is created by rainwater that seeps very slowly underground through 6 porous layers of volcanic rocks. Mother earth’s filter gives Volvic its perfect mineral balance with naturally occurring electrolytes such as Calcium, Sulfates, Magnesium, Potassium, Bicarbonates, Silica and chlorides.*
Tapped at 90 meters deep, Volvic Water is pristine with a low mineralization and a consistent composition. It is only when Volvic water is bottled that it sees the daylight for the first time.
